SimplyBackup provides both manual and automatic data backup. You can either click on a "Backup Now!" button, or schedule your tasks to back up hourly, daily, weekly, or whatever.
SimplyBackup includes backup templates to automatically back up My Documents, Windows desktop, Outlook folders, e-mail messages, address book, Windows system settings, and many more. You don't have to specify those locations manually anymore.
Backup operation
SimplyBackup incorporates highly compatible Zip compression as a storage format for your backup copies. You don't need to have a restore tool anymore. Windows 2000, 2003, and XP support Zip files integrally. You can browse and restore your backup copies from within Windows Explorer, just as you normally would with files and folders on your computer.
Zip64 compression is supported for multi-gigabyte backups. The original Zip file compression limits the number of files in a Zip backup file to 65,535, and the maximum size of Zip backup file to 4 gigabytes. The 64-bit Zip64 compression has no such restrictions.
SimplyBackup provides native file copying mode for maximum compatibility. A complete mirror copy of your data is created in this mode, including all of the folders and subfolders.
Additional features
SimplyBackup supports strong 128-bit and 256-bit AES symmetric encryption to securely protect your sensitive documents. AES is the Advanced Encryption Standard by the U.S. Government's National Institute of Standards (NIST). AES has been approved by NIST as a Federal Information Processing Standard for use by the U.S. government, FBI, CIA, businesses, and individuals.
SimplyBackup maintains an HTML log file and carefully records all of the backup activity along with all of the problems found during backup operation.
